Proposed development of a student accommodation facility comprising circa 190 studio apartments and ancillary communal & welfare space for private lettings.
Milestone Project Consultancy were appointed immediately following site acquisition with the responsibility of appointing, managing and directing a wider technical & design team in order work towards a planning application in late 2015.
The development site is located in an area of national historical and heritage interest, which means the required input and liaison with various conservation groups and consultants to help inform the design, and associated interface with the design team.
The site is currently occupied by numerous warehouse style buildings which function as the Art & Design studios for Canterbury Christ Church University, which will eventually be demolished pending vacant possession, and as part of an enabling works package ahead of main contractor appointment.
