Milestone Project Consultancy were appointed during the pre-planning phase of this project  to assist in the due-diligence and feasibility analysis of the proposed refurbishment and alteration of this existing 11 storey building, with a view to deliver a mixed use 454 bed student accommodation and retail project in Leicester.

Formerly the site of the Leicester International Hotel and prior to that, a former shoe depositary/factory, the building is an important landmark located in the cultural quarter of Leicester City Centre.  Given the buildings prominence there was very close liaison and collaboration with Leicester City Council and their planning & regeneration team, in order to discuss the design and potential end use of the building as options evolved.

Milestone Project Consultancy were overall responsible for leading and coordinating these discussions and acting as the principle interface between the Council, the wider design team and Client.
